The Iowa City Area HBA Lego Parade of Homes is back by popular demand! Kids aged 17 and younger are invited to summon their inner builder and enter to win prizes, courtesy of Locals Love Us - ICR! The event corresponds with The Iowa City Area HBA Parade of Homes, June 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 18.
Enter between May 1 and 5 p.m. May 30.
Step 1: Collect all your Legos.
Step 2: Build your home sweet home.
Step 3: Take photos of your creation.
Step 4: Enter your masterpiece at www.iowacityhomes.thegazette.com/lego-tour by following the prompts. Only first names will be used when publicizing entries. Don’t forget to include your creative description (e.g. number of bedrooms, colors, types of countertops, etc.).
Six Winners, Two Categories
Randy’s Flooring is sponsoring the competition and helping judge alongside representatives from Iowa City Area HBA Parade of Homes presenting co-sponsors Hills Bank and Urban Acres Real Estate.
Top three winners in the categories of Building Excellence and Creative Description will be announced June 9 at the Parade of Homes Award Builders Excellence Award Ceremony, on Facebook @ICAreaHBAParadeofHomes and Instagram @icareahba.
1st: $50 gift card to Bread Garden
2nd: $40 gift card to Every Bloomin’ Thing
3rd: Family Pass to the Iowa Children’s Museum
People's Choice Voting
All entries will be featured on the Lego Parade of Homes website, www.iowacityhomes.thegazette.com/lego-tour, starting June 10. Viewers can vote for their favorites. The entry with the most nods recieves the Lego People’s Choice Award and family passes to the Iowa Children’s Museum and a $50 gift card to Bread Garden. So, be sure to share the link on social media with your friends and family!
